If this is your first year ordering from our School Supply Sale, we are sure you will have lots of questions! While you can contact us with general questions about the sale and the lists, you should contact Magasin Scolaire directly if you have specific queries about ordering, shipping, or picking up your order.
Yes!! We’ve worked with the Gardenview teachers to make sure that the items on the school supply lists are available on the website. You are encouraged to read the lists carefully, as teachers may request additional items, such as blankets, spare clothes, photos, tissues, etc.
Orders can be picked up at the warehouse (6744 rue Hutchison) or shipped to your door. Warehouse pickup is free and convenient. They offer an appointment-based drive-thru service so that your order is ready when you arrive and you don’t need to wait. Pickup days will be in August (exact dates will be communicated later).
If you prefer to have your order shipped to your home, you pay only the Canada Post rate (between $9.99 and $16.99), depending on the weight of your order. Orders greater than $300 receive free shipping. You should expect to receive your order between early July and mid-August, depending on when you placed your order.
As long as you place your order before July 27, you should receive your items well before the first day of classes (September 2). It’s still possible to place your order after the July 27 deadline, and you can purchase additional supplies throughout the school year.
Absolutely not! If you have leftover supplies, or you’d simply rather purchase certain items elsewhere, you are free to order only the items you need. You can even buy extra supplies to keep at home.

Definitely! After you’ve selected all of the items for the first child, just go back to the main page and then select the grade of the next child. Everything gets added to your shopping cart and you simply checkout when you are done shopping for everyone.
We wanted to give Gardenview parents the best deal so that they wouldn’t have to sacrifice anything by participating in our school supply sale. We compared multiple suppliers before choosing Magasin Scolaire, and observed that their prices are equal or slightly cheaper than those found at local stores. Of course, you are free to purchase only the items you want from our school supply sale if you happen to find some items cheaper on sale elsewhere. However, keep in mind that this sale is a fundraiser, therefore a percentage of the profits comes back to Gardenview Home & School to help fund activities for your children.
You can download them here. They are also available for download on the Gardenview School website. Please read them carefully, as teachers often include important notes and may request additional items (e.g. blankets, spare clothes, etc.).
Although the website has been carefully checked for errors, it’s possible that some minor differences exist. For example, a list may ask for 150 loose leaf sheets, but Magasin Scolaire sells them in packs of 200 sheets. However, if you think that there is an error on the website, please notify us so that we may investigate the discrepancy and request a correction, if necessary.
Payment by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) is the fastest and simplest way to pay for your order. If you prefer to pay via Interac e-Transfer, cash or cheque, then please refer to the Magasin Scolaire FAQ page for instructions.
